Working with RSD on this product re-launch was a lot of fun and very rewarding experience, and a great example of how we adapt and work with our clients no matter what the circumstaces/challenges. After an initial consultation with the in-house marketing team, we decided to move forward with this project in 4 main stages:
- Landing page rewrite – For many reasons, we needed to update and refresh the current landing page and copy. This required a thorough review of the content, outlining new landing page content and designing new content sections.
- Email Campaign – Dozens of emails needed to be written and added to the email sequence in Drip, which was customized to include several use cases to increase conversions, ex: automating email sequence to uninclude current customers, dis-allowing double signups, upsells, downsells, and cleaning up the master list via small pre-campaign.
- YouTube Campaign – Capturing traffic from YouTube requires specific techniques, including pushing traffic from a pre-launch YouTube series of videos to an email capture page(then using the email campaign to push viewers to watch our YT content on the landing page itself). Result: $560k in sales in first two weeks of re-launch.
- Membership Site – This is where the actual product was hosted, along with login & registration emails. To update our user experience we consulted with our client and researched available hosting platforms for online courses. In the end we recommended using Kajabi to host the digital content, which allowed for a much better user experience across mobile and desktop, as well as allow cross selling between products.
Successfully launching an online product takes time and dedication, both from the agency and client, but the results can be fantastic with the right plan and execution.
